Video Identification Process

Overview

After initiating the registration request and attaching the required information, the user must be redirected to the Osigu web portal so that the physician can complete the video identification process.

You can use our test portal at https://ekyc-provider-registration.sandbox.osigu.com. This portal requires a parameter called id, which must be the UUID provided during the registration request initiation process.

Web Application Requirements

The web application has the following basic requirements:

  1. Minimum bandwidth: 300 kbps.
  2. Network connection: Communication must support UDP.
  3. Browser support: Requires a browser with WebRTC capabilities.

Note: This web application cannot be embedded in WebView components. The user should ideally access it from a personal computer. If anomalies are detected on Android devices, a request may be denied.

Process Description

If the id parameter is valid, the user will follow the steps below:

  1. Accept terms and conditions: The user agrees to the platform's policies.
  2. Instructions and recommendations: Guidelines for the process.
  3. Start video validation: The process includes facial captures and national identification document scans. All actions are recorded without audio.
    • Step 3.1: Facial capture with liveness check (e.g., blinking).
    • Step 3.2: Capture of the front side of the identification document.
    • Step 3.3: Capture of the back side of the identification document.

Automatic Evaluations

The captures made by the Osigu application are sent for the following automated evaluations:

  1. Facial biometric verification: Matching between video, facial capture, and the document's photo.
  2. OCR process: Extracting data from the identification document.
  3. Document validation: Type of ID and country-specific data validation.
  4. Anti-fraud checks: Validation of the ID document for authenticity using image and OCR data.
  5. Data consistency checks: Cross-checking information submitted during the registration request against OCR results.

The outcome of this evaluation generates an electronically signed document as evidence for Osigu. This document can be used in court to validate the user's registration request.

Review Timeline

An Osigu validation agent will review the video validation process and the information registered through our API within 48 hours of submission.
